The rule of law lies at the heart of our society.
Our trusted legal system is underpinned by
an independent judiciary. We are the only
common law jurisdiction in China operating
in both the Chinese and English languages.

We provide cost effective, efficient and reliable
dispute resolution services. The Hong Kong
International Arbitration Centre (HKIAC) was
selected as the fourth most preferred arbitral
institution worldwide in the 2018 survey of
the Queen Mary University of London.

Hong Kong is also home to branches of
the world’s leading arbitration institutions,
including: The International Court of Arbitration
of the International Chamber of Commerce
(ICC), China International Economic and
Trade Arbitration Commission (CIETAC), and
China Maritime Arbitration Commission (CMAC).

We are religious in protecting intellectual
property. As a member of the World Trade
Organisation (WTO), our local laws fully comply
with the WTO’s Agreement on Trade-Related
Aspects of Intellectual Property Rights.
